• A base unit communicates with multiple STEM or WUGS units in the field
• Theoretical limit is 1,000 STEM or WUGS units per BASE
• BASE can be either AC or solar powered
• BASE supports communication to the Cloud via a Verizon LTE modem or Wi-Fi, which can be connected to the Cloud via satellite broadband
• Base range is typically 1-2 miles in perennial crops, but can be up to 10 miles line of sight when mounted on a 10 story grain elevator, typically in a field crop environment
